Rangjung Yeshe Institute is pleased to share two recent publications highlighting the scholarly contributions of our faculty and alumni.

1.Chapter in the book “Studying the Bka’ ’gyur and Bstan ’gyur”

A chapter has been published featuring contributions from Julia Stenzel, Lara Braitstein, Lowell Cook, and Ben Ewing, all members of the RYI academic community.

Chapter 7, “S is for the Sound of the Yoginī: An Extensive Introduction to Saraha’s Consonant Dohā and Its Commentary,” offers an in-depth introduction to one of the most important works in the Mahāmudrā tradition, contributing to the ongoing study of Buddhist philosophy and literature.

2.New Biography Published in Treasury of Lives

Julia Stenzel has also authored a new biographical entry for Lama Gendun Rinpoche in Treasury of Lives, in online encyclopedia dedicated to the historical figures of Tibet, Inner Asia, and the Himalayan region.
