KU-CBS Signs Memorandum of Understanding with Jagiellonian University

The Kathmandu University Centre for Buddhist Studies (KU-CBS) at Rangjung Yeshe Institute is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Institute of Comparative Studies of Civilisations at Jagiellonian University in Kraków, Poland.

The MoU was signed by Prof. Thomas Doctor, representing KU-CBS, and Dr hab. Elżbieta Przybył-Sadowska (Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy), representing the Institute of Comparative Studies of Civilisations at Jagiellonian University. The agreement establishes a framework for academic cooperation and opens new opportunities for collaboration in Buddhist Studies and the comparative study of civilisations.

The partnership will provide a basis for scholarly exchange, collaborative research, academic events, and other forms of cooperation involving faculty and students of both institutions. Through this collaboration, KU-CBS and Jagiellonian University hope to foster greater dialogue between scholars working across different geographical, cultural, and disciplinary contexts.

KU-CBS is particularly grateful to Prof. Artur Przybysławski, whose initiative was instrumental in establishing this partnership. His efforts have played an important role in bringing the two institutions together and creating the foundation for future academic collaboration.

KU-CBS looks forward to developing this partnership with the Institute of Comparative Studies of Civilisations and to creating meaningful opportunities for research, teaching, student engagement, and international scholarly exchange in the years ahead.
