Summer Study Opportunities

Summer Study Opportunities

Rangjung Yeshe Institute’s 19th Summer Program featuring intensive language training and Buddhist philosophy starts June 8, 2022 with orientation. Classes will run from June 13 to August 4, 2022 (Monday to Friday for eight weeks). There will be a short mid-term from July 8 to July 11, 2022.

The decision as to whether the Summer Program will be on campus or online will be announced on February 15, 2022.

The language programs offer an immersive learning environment for the Tibetan, Sanskrit, and Nepali language. The Buddhist Studies program provides a practical introduction to the richness of personal meditation training as well as an introduction to Buddhist philosophy and history.

The level of intensity of the Summer Program is high. However, students who successfully complete the summer courses will be well on their way towards a high degree of proficiency in the language studied, or in their understanding of the Buddhist tradition. The eight-week Summer Program language courses are comparable to two semesters of study during the fall/spring academic year at RYI.

All summer programs are fully accredited by Kathmandu University.
