Special lecture panel with Oregon State University faculty on the Intersection of Buddhism and Academic Careers.

Join us on Wednesday August 30th at 5:00 pm NPT for a special lecture panel with Oregon State University faculty on the Intersection of Buddhism and Academic Careers. This lecture will be available both on campus (classroom 103) and online.
The academic careers of John Edwards (Professor of Psychology at Oregon State University) Dee Denver (Professor of Integrative Biology at Oregon State), and Geoff Barstow (Professor of Buddhist Studies at Oregon State) have all been shaped, in part, by their engagement with Buddhism. In this panel, Professors Edwards, Denver, and Barstow will discuss the role that Buddhism plays in their academic lives. They will discuss how Buddhist ideas shape their teaching and classroom presence, how these ideas impact the research questions they choose to pursue, and how Buddhism has shaped the actual conduct of that research.
